Ouch!! Matt Wise (Milw) just beaned Pedro Lopez (Cinn) in the face with the first pitch of the 8th inning. Looks like he got hit in the mouth - bleeding and all that. He looks like he will be alright, but he is loopy right now. That had to hurt, man!

Wise visits Lopez: Brewers reliever Matt Wise took a taxi after the game Wednesday night to go to a local emergency room and visit Reds infielder Pedro Lopez. Wise hit Lopez on the side of his face with a pitch in the eighth inning of that game, fracturing his left cheekbone and causing blood to gush out of his mouth. Lopez will not need surgery, but he was placed on the 15-day DL. "I wanted to go see him and tell him I'm sorry," said Wise. "He doesn't speak much English, but he understood what I was saying. That was by no means intentional and I feel bad about it."
